Deposit/Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellations and Changes in Reservations

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Agency. The effective date of cancellation is the date the written notice is received by the Agency. Refund eligibility is determined based on the arrival date and the timing of the cancellation as outlined below:

1.1 Cancellation Within 24 Hours of Booking:
If the reservation is cancelled within twenty-four (24) hours of booking, the Guest is entitled to a full refund of all payments made.

1.2 Cancellation More Than 60 Days Before Arrival:
If the Guest cancels and the arrival date is more than sixty (60) days away, the Guest has only paid the $100 non-refundable reservation deposit, which will not be refunded.

1.3 Cancellation 31–60 Days Prior to Arrival:
If the Guest cancels thirty-one (31) to sixty (60) days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the Guest is entitled to a fifty percent (50%) refund of the rental amount paid. All refunds are subject to applicable processing and credit card fees.

1.4 Cancellation 0–30 Days Prior to Arrival:
If the Guest cancels thirty (30) days or fewer prior to the scheduled arrival date or fails to arrive for any reason (“no-show”), no refunds will be issued, and the Guest forfeits all monies paid.

1.5 Reservation Date Changes:
All requests to modify reservation dates must be submitted in writing to the Agency and are subject to availability. Reservation date changes are not permitted within sixty (60) days of the scheduled arrival date. Guests requesting date changes within this period must cancel their existing reservation and rebook a new reservation. Any refund issued will be governed by the cancellation policy applicable to the original arrival date, regardless of the new booking dates.

Renter Requirements

The person placing a reservation with San Diego Sunset must be the same as the credit/debit card holder & an occupant in the home. The Guest understands that SDSVR rents to responsible adults with a minimum age of 21.

Emergencies / Maintenance

In the event of a problem getting in the home or if there are problems with condition or functionality of the home, please immediately contact the SDSVR office (leave a voice message if there is no answer) at 858-488-5204 or 888-SUNNY-SD. If it is after office hours we will make every effort to return your call as soon as possible. For after-hours emergencies, please contact (leave a voice message if there is no answer) 888-SUNNY-SD option #3.

Parking

Many parking spaces and garages are small in the beach area and may not accommodate all vehicles, especially trucks and SUVs. San Diego Sunset does not guarantee your vehicle will be able to fit in the parking space provided, nor are we able to provide additional parking if the assigned parking is too small.

Please check the parking dimensions for each property on the listing description.

Air Conditioning
Most Units DO NOT have Air Conditioning.

What's Included

Linens and Toiletries

To start your vacation, we provide the following items for you:

  • 2 Rolls of toilet paper per bathroom
  • Garbage bags
  • 1 Travel size soap per bathroom
  • 1 Roll of Paper Towels
  • Dish Soap
  • Dishwasher Detergent (for units with dishwashers)
  • Laundry Detergent (for units with washing machines)
  • 1 Towell set per guest, including bath towel, hand towel and washcloth
  • 1 Set of sheets, pillow(s), comforter per bed

It is the guests responsibility to wash linens during your stay as needed and buy toiletries beyond what is initially provided. San Diego Sunset Vacation Rentals will provide daily or weekly maid service at an additional cost.

Kitchen Amenities
Kitchens are stocked with pots, pans, microwave, coffee makers, utensils, and dishware. Most properties have blenders, toasters, and irons. We cannot guarantee that properties will have specialty cooking items such as crock pots, cookie sheets, measuring cups, etc. Please pack according to your needs.

Free Rentals

As our guests, you have access to free daily rentals of boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels and sand toys. You can rent this equipment from our office during business hours. Be advised all rentals are on a first come, first serve basis.
You also have access to free baby equipment rentals: Pack n’ Play, baby gate, high chair.

Property Rules

NO SMOKING in any units

NO PETS allowed in any units

NO PARTIES allowed in any units

To Make a Reservation you must be the minimum rental age specified for the property of age or older. Person making a reservation MUST check-in and stay at the unit the entire duration of the reservation.

Privacy Policy

San Diego Sunset Vacation Rentals will never sell, barter, or rent your name, email address or any personal information to any unauthorized third party.
